German Friends Society of TECHNION – Student Exchange Fund

Since 1987, the German Technion Society has maintained a student exchange fund that provides financial support to German students at the Technion and Technion students in Germany for a one or two-semester student exchange. The funds are administered in Haifa and DTG oversees the selection and awarding of scholarships to applicants from both countries. Applications can be sent by e-mail to the office (office@dtgev.de). The completed form must be enclosed with the application.

International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP)
Lasting from 28 to 90 days starting between June and December 2026.

Subsidy of USD 30 per day.
Applicants may submit a request for an additional scholarship to cover flight expenses through the Student Exchange Office.

Technion students can choose to do this internship with any professor in any of our partner universities.

1. Taiwan International Internship Program (TIIP)

• Target: 3 and 4^th year university students  & graduate students
• Content: 2-month internship in Academia Sinica
• Academia Sinica provides single-trip flight ticket (up to USD 500) and NT 30,000 monthly allowance

2. Taiwan International Graduate Program (TIGP) for 2026 Fall Semester

• Target: foreign students who have graduated from master programs
• Content: 13 Ph.D programs (Academia Sinica cooperates with Taiwan’s universities).
• Academia Sinica provides NT 40,000-50,000 monthly allowance; scholarship for excellent students
• Application: 1 Nov. 2025 -1 Feb. 2026

3. Taiwan International Graduate Program X (TIGP-X)

• Target: Ph.D students
• Content: 3m-3y research period at Taiwan under the supervision at home university and Academia Sinica researcher.
• Academia Sinica provides round-trip flight tickets and NT 30,000-50,000 monthly allowance.
• Application: anytime (recommended by AS researcher who has already had connection with foreign researcher)

4. Applied Research International Internships (NIAR)

• National Institutes of Applied Research (NIAR) is offering internship opportunities to foreign master and PhD students who study in domestic and foreign universities.
• Application is opened for students working on the 4 fields, including (1) Environment Technology, (2) Information & Communication Technology, (3) Biomedical Technology, (4) Science & Technology Policy.
• The scholarship rate is NT$6,500 per week for master students and NT$8,000 per week for PhD students (18% of taxes will be deducted).
  During the period of receiving this scholarship, interns are not allowed to receive scholarships of the same nature from governmental agencies, national colleges and universities in Taiwan.
  The costs of airfare and insurance shall be borne by the International Interns.
• The period of the internship is 10 to 16 weeks.
• The application should be submitted by the end of August each year.
  All required application documents are to be sent by email to siwang1218@niar.org.tw.
  Results will be notified within 2 months of receiving the application.

Pessa and Rebecca BLUMENKOPF Fund Scholarships – Casip-Cojasor

It promotes the stay in Israel of French students wishing to study there, and under the same conditions, the stay in France of Israeli students.

Thus, each year, the Pessa and Rebecca BLUMENKOPF Fund Commission awards 8 to 10 scholarships of up to €1,000 with the following criteria:

• Israeli students pursuing their studies in a French university or Grande Ecole and French students pursuing their studies in an Israeli university,
• Israeli artists perfecting their training in a French conservatory or institute, with priority given to students at the end of their studies.
• These scholarships are awarded in consideration of the quality of the studies pursued and the financial situation of the candidates.

SJTU Summer Research Internship (July 13 – Aug. 23, 2026)

In 2026, SJTU is offering 204 world-class research projects for overseas undergraduate students which cover 24 fields including mechanical engineering, electronic information and electronic engineering, agriculture and pharmacy, etc. The internship lasts six weeks. All students admitted will be waived of tuition fees. Students can have the chance to attend in the paper-writing process and serve as a co-author on one publication. The summer research internship will help students lay the foundation for their careers. Start early and prepare carefully: finding a good summer internship will be worth your time and effort.

Application deadline: May 30, 2026

The Dean of Students Office at the Technion will offer a scholarship for outgoing exchange students. Priority will be given to candidates from less advantaged socio-economic backgrounds.

The Exchange Office will send a call for applications to outgoing exchange students prior to each semester, including detailed information regarding the deadlines and registration process.

Students who receive any other scholarship from the host university are not eligible for this scholarship.

Technion undergraduate and master’s students interested in an exchange semester or year at MCI – The Entrepreneurial School, Austria, during 2027/28 may be eligible for the Ernst Mach Grant, funded by the Austrian government.

The grant provides €1,300 per month for one or two semesters, subject to eligibility requirements and a competitive selection process.

Application Process

Students must first apply for the Technion Student Exchange Program for 2027/28 through the regular application process and in accordance with the published procedures and deadlines.

Students selected for exchange at MCI can then proceed with the nomination and grant application process, with guidance from the Student Exchange Unit:

1. The Technion nominates selected students to MCI.
2. Students complete MCI’s preliminary application and receive an acceptance letter.
3. Students submit their grant application, including the MCI acceptance letter, by February 1, 2027.

MCI’s nomination deadline is January 15, 2027. This is a deadline for the Technion to submit nominations; it does not replace the Technion’s exchange application deadline.

Preparing Your Grant Application

Applicants should prepare two recommendation letters and explain how studying at MCI supports their academic goals and future plans.

The grant is competitive: selection for exchange and acceptance to MCI do not guarantee funding. Students will also need to complete MCI’s regular online application when it opens.
