Cablecar station
My first encounters with the Technion were not open days or tours, but entrance exams and interviews. Each time, I used the cable car to get to the campus. In those minutes, as I rode over the buildings, I could only think about my past, present, and future. In my thoughts, I had to consider and coordinate many questions — getting a degree, combining studies with work, receiving citizenship, serving in the army, moving dormitories, visiting my relatives and my homeland. Despite my desire for a clear plan, I continued to contemplate alternatives and work out details, trying to expand my planning horizon for at least the next two years. I realized that there would be many obstacles along the way that I might not be prepared for or unable to influence.
