  • Architecture students need to submit their applications by May 1 of the previous academic year for the year they wish to enroll, including a portfolio and an official letter from their home university with their class ranking (top 50%).

 

Application

In order to apply for the program, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a currently enrolled student in a recognized institution of higher education with at least one year of completed studies
  • Have a GPA of 80/3.0 and above

 

Application must include the following documents:

  • Application form completed online
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • A personal statement outlining why you want to study at Technion
  • Resume/CV
  • Transcripts (original or official copies)
  • $60 USD non-refundable application fee (Erasmus+ students exempt)
  • Passport copy
  • Students from non-English speaking countries must submit their English proficiency test (please see the table below)
  • Note:
    • The opening of the program is contingent upon the number of registered students.
    • The program is subject to changes at the discretion of the Dean of Students Office.

    For Architecture students:

    • Applications must be submitted by May 1 of the previous academic year for the year they wish to enroll. This includes a portfolio and an official letter from their home university with their class ranking (top 50%).

Professional Internship (for semester Exchange students only)

Students who come to the Technion for a semester abroad have the option of undertaking a professional internship at a hi-tech or start-up company. Working as an intern allows students to apply the engineering and scientific principles learned in the classroom to a real-world professional environment. Internships are unpaid positions taken over a period of at least 10 weeks (minimum 200 hours) and grant 3 academic credit points. Internships can be undertaken during the winter (January-March) or summer (June-August) at a cost of $1,500.

English Proficiency

Since the academic program for exchange students at Technion is taught entirely in English, applicants are required to demonstrate their English proficiency before their enrollment.

Admission decisions will be based on a close evaluation of each application on a case-by-case basis. An emphasis will be placed on the academic performance of each candidate.

Health Insurance

Incoming students MUST have full Israeli health insurance coverage while in Israel.

The health insurance policy must be finalized prior to your arrival in Israel. We recommend Harel-Yedidim Medical Insurance.

If you are an Israeli citizen and you have state medical coverage, you are exempt from purchasing medical insurance upon providing proof of medical coverage.

The insurance offers a yearly plan for 365 days, coverage within the borders of Israel, andif needed, doctor visits at your dorm room 24 hours a day without extra cost.

 

The Prestige Policy is a policy with continuance of coverage from one year to the next as long as you will renew it before the policy expires.

The medical services are provided by Clalit Health Services with clinics in Haifa, and throughout the country.

There is a Clalit Health Services clinic on campus, for your convenience.

You can visit the family doctors at the clinic on campus as well as at the clinics around the Technion.

The Prestige policy costs NIS 11.90 per day, for policyholders under the age of 65*.

There is a coverage for worsening of pre-exiting condition up to US$1,000.
