Student’s Feedback:

  • Academic Feedback:
TUM is an impressive university with great facilities and a strong academic atmosphere, but what I appreciated most was the independence and freedom we had in studio work. The mix of students both local and international brought a lot of energy to the projects and made every discussion more interesting I felt challenged in a good way.
  • Campus Life, Activities, Culture, etc.:
huge part of the experience was life outside of school. Munich is one of those cities where there’s always something going on. Every week there’s a new event, from street markets and beer gardens to car exhibitions by BMW and Mercedes, or casual rooftop sunset hangouts that turn into parties. Bavarians somehow manage to enjoy life fully and still wake up on time for work the next morning.
  • General Feedback:
Spending a semester at TUM in Munich was one of the most memorable and meaningful experiences of my studies so far. It wasn’t just about learning architecture in a different country, it was about living in a new culture, meeting new people almost every week, and discovering how much more there is outside of what I already knew.
  • Message to Future Students:
If you’re thinking about doing an exchange- do it. You’ll study, yes, but you’ll also grow, have fun, and come back with friends and stories you’ll never forget. Munich has a way of making you feel at home while keeping you curious, to a point where it’s very hard to leave.

  • Academic Feedback:
Studying at TUM was a very professional and inspiring experience. The courses covered interesting topics that broadened my perspective, such as green architecture and cultural urban issues. I particularly appreciated the open-minded approach of the professors, who encouraged us to follow our interests and develop them further. This was especially true in the design studio I attended, where I felt free to explore and expand my ideas.
  • Life in Munich:
Life in Munich was calm, safe, and pleasant. The city is very clean, green, and well-organized. I always felt comfortable walking in the streets, even late at night. The aesthetics of the city are very appealing, and the local people are polite. My fellow students at the university were also open and eager to connect.
  • General Feedback:
my exchange semester at TUM was a very enriching experience. Both academically and personally, I grew and learned a lot. I would definitely recommend it to future students.
  • Message to Future Students:
I recommend learning at least some basics of the local language. It is important for the locals to see that international students make an effort to communicate in German, especially if you are not there only for tourism. Regarding housing, it is better to search while already in Munich rather than from abroad, since it is much easier to find options when you are physically present in the city.

Student’s Feedback:
My exchange experience was one of the best of my life, as it was a perfect combination of studying, friendships, traveling, and exploring German culture. TUM and Munich were the ideal destinations for my exchange. I had the privilege of improving my German skills, studying different architecture subjects, and exploring the city, the country, and its surroundings. TUM is considered an excellent university, and during the semester it offered a wide variety of courses, social activities, and events. Its location in the city center was ideal, and the presence of many international students contributed a lot to the experience. Overall, I learned many new things, grew as a person, made new friends and collected special memories for life.
