  • Period of Exchange: Winter 2018-2019
  • Technion Home Faculty: Architecture and Town Planning
  • Faculty at Host University: Architecture
  • Number of Courses Taken Abroad: 3

Student’s Feedback:

    • Courses Feedback:
I took 3 courses, including a studio. I recommend the “Drawing of Science” course, which is part of the fashion design track. It offers a high level of skill in drawing and understanding proportion. The level of studies depends on how much the student invests, as the degree here is for a master’s, not a bachelor’s, meaning much of the learning is self-guided.
    • Campus Life, Activities, Culture, etc.:
The architecture faculty is not located on the main campus.
    • General Feedback:
This is a one-time opportunity that is important to experience. Feel free to contact me.

  • Technion Home Faculty: Architecture and Town Planning
  • Faculty at Host University: Architecture
  • Number of Courses Taken Abroad: 6

Student’s Feedback:

    • Courses Feedback:
I took 6 courses (including a language course). The academic level was relatively low compared to the Technion, and I wouldn’t recommend this university for studies.
    • Campus Life, Activities, Culture, etc.:
There are several weekly organized activities for international students, including social evenings, tours, parties, and trips.
    • General Feedback:
Feel free to contact me. The experience was amazing socially and culturally, but not academically enriching, especially compared to the Technion’s level.

    • Period of Exchange: Spring 2022-2023
    • Technion Home Faculty: Architecture and Town Planning
    • Faculty at Host University: Architecture
    • Number of Courses Taken Abroad: 3

    Student’s Feedback:

    • Courses Feedback:
I recommend the advanced studio in the landscape architecture track, as the academic level is noticeably lower than at the Technion.
    • Campus Life, Activities, Culture, etc.:
The studies take place in a building in the city center, not on the main campus, so campus social life wasn’t very noticeable. However, there are many platforms, like WhatsApp groups, where students organize activities.
    • General Feedback:
Feel free to contact me. My message is that at Sapienza, the studies are secondary to the overall experience of the city and country, as the courses are not very engaging or innovative.

  • Technion Home Faculty: Architecture and Town Planning
  • Faculty at Host University: Architecture – Urban Regeneration
  • Number of Courses Taken Abroad: 3

Student’s Feedback:

  • Courses Feedback:
The studio course I took was successful. The elective course was less successful, but relatively decent. The academic level of the courses is lower compared to the Technion.
  • Campus Life, Activities, Culture, etc.:
I didn’t notice much campus social life, but there were many events in the city. I didn’t participate in most of these because they didn’t interest me. We connected with people through courses and planned things on our own.
  • General Feedback:
Feel free to contact me. My message is to enjoy the experience, travel, and learn a lot from the city where you live. I learned a lot about urban planning and had very meaningful experiences.

Student’s Feedback:

  • Academic Feedback:
During my stay at Sapienza University of Rome, I enrolled in three courses, including a studio course that became the highlight of my semester. This course encouraged collaboration and innovation by participating in the international C40 Architecture Competition, where our team proudly achieved third place worldwide. This accomplishment was a defining moment that strengthened my confidence and academic growth as an architecture student.
  • Campus Life, Activities, Culture, etc.:
Living and studying in Rome has been a truly transformative and unforgettable experience. The city’s rich history, vibrant culture, and inspiring atmosphere made it the perfect setting for my exchange semester. Beyond academics, the daily life in Rome broadened my perspective on the world and allowed me to step outside the familiar. I would strongly recommend Rome and Sapienza University to anyone looking to challenge themselves, gain new experiences, and think outside the box. Another enriching aspect of the exchange was the opportunity to meet and collaborate with students from all over the world. These friendships and cultural exchanges extended my learning far beyond the classroom. Additionally, being based in Rome made it easy to travel across Europe, giving me the chance to explore new places and experience different perspectives.
  • General Feedback:
my exchange semester was a wonderful, life-changing journey that combined academic achievement with personal growth, and I will always carry these experiences with me. I am truly thankful for the scholarship that made this opportunity possible, and for the chance to grow both personally and academically through this program.
  • Message to Future Students:
never be afraid to try something new. Take each day as it comes and truly enjoy your stay while it lasts, because this is one of the rare moments in life where you can freely meet new people, discover new places, and grow- without the many responsibilities that usually come later on.
