Financial Aid

We’re here for you!

The Financial Aid Unit at the Technion aims to provide financial support to all students on campus, enabling them to focus on their academic studies and pursue higher education without financial barriers.

The Unit provides information, personal guidance, and financial assistance to approximately 4,000 students each year, in a professional manner and with a commitment to discretion and equal opportunity.

The Financial Aid Unit offers a wide range of financial assistance programs, including:

Technion Scholarships – Scholars from the Dean of Students’ Assistance Fund, awarded on a socioeconomic basis and managed through a dedicated system developed especially for the Technion.

External Scholarships – The Unit coordinates scholarships from external sources, refers students and provides guidance, and recommends candidates for scholarships and awards through ongoing collaboration with dozens of foundations, non-profit organizations, and programs that provide financial support to students from diverse backgrounds.

Athlete Scholarships – Awarded annually to outstanding athletes who are members of Technion sports teams.

Social and Community Involvement Scholarships – The Unit initiates and supports community and social projects in schools, technology training programs, and non-profit organizations serving special populations, some in collaboration with Perach – A National Program for Social Impact.

Loans – The Unit facilitates the approval of interest-free loans through a rapid process and under favorable repayment terms, from the Technion’s loan fund.

Emergency Assistance – The Unit provides prompt financial support to students in emergency situations resulting from personal, family, or national hardships.

We believe that providing financial support during one’s academic studies enables every student to obtain a high-quality education.

Such education promotes social mobility, improves students’ economic and social status, and contributes to reducing social disparities.

Students who receive support during their studies understand its importance and often channel their success into giving back to academia and society.
