The center employs academic tutors, who represent students who excel in their studies and who provide individual tutoring sessions. Tutoring sessions are intended primarily for new students, students who are absent for an extended period of time due to reserve duty or illness, or students who are having difficulty understanding the material in a particular course. These sessions are aimed at clarifying questions or confusion that arises during one’s studies, imparting effective study habits, and helping students to complete material that they have missed. Students who would like to receive tutoring are invited to schedule a meeting with the counselor through the unit’s secretariat, in accordance with the procedures of the unit, as specified on the Contact Us page. During the meeting, students are provided with a specific allowance of tutoring hours. The allowance of hours provided for tutoring is specific to the semester in which the student has contacted the counselor. It is not possible to transfer the hours from one semester to another. There is a fee for tutoring sessions and each student who contacts the counselor must verify whether he/she is entitled to a discount. Payment is charged from the student’s account at the end of each semester (after the second exam dates/Moed B).
