If your academic performance has resulted in your being in poor academic standing, i.e., a cumulative weighted grade point average that is under 65 or a weighted success rate of less than 66 in the courses that you have taken, it may indicate a disruption to your course of studies. It is your responsibility to contact an academic counselor in your faculty and to schedule an appointment with the relevant counselor at the center (Staff and Contact tab). Counseling includes addressing the academic aspects – evaluating learning skills and drawing conclusions from the learning process thus far, as well as addressing emotional difficulties and life circumstances that may affect your ongoing course of study. It may be that the problem involves other factors, and the counselor will try to address them during the meetings. A database of tutors, who are excelling students, is available to you. These tutors can help in clarifying problematic topics or to help you in catching up on schoolwork. The counselor in the center will help you throughout several meetings by providing support and monitoring your progress in reaching good academic standing. It is important to note that the earlier you arrive, the faster and more effective the solution is likely to be.
